Mike Hailwood ® has often been described as motorcycling’s greatest rider of all time and was recently voted rider of the millennium. He won 76 grand prix and nine world titles. His motorcycling career began in 1957 and culminated in a spectacular comeback after seven years’ retirement to win TT victories in both 1978 and 1979. Ironically, less than two years later, Mike was tragically killed with his daughter Michelle in a road accident.
